Powerful sound with stunning clarity
Thanks to Sony's expertise and years of experience in sound engineering with digital amplifiers, a compact and powerful amplifier could be developed without compromising on sound quality.

Optimized power blocks
The power block is designed in such a way that electricity is transferred very efficiently with virtually no noise, and the DC converter with a toroidal transformer ensures less electromagnetic interference. To deliver refined, ultra-high-frequency sound, each channel block and Class-D amplification are isolated and have their own grounding circuit to minimize signal interference.

Exclusive components for superior sound
The upgraded coils with OFC wires were chosen for lower internal resistance and improved character of the sound, while the high-capacity electrolytic capacitors contribute to accurate and responsive bass.

Robust technology
The 1.2 mm thick bottom plate and the new design with crossbars provide a chassis with approximately 50% more rigidity. This reduces resonance and shifts the resonance peak out of the harsh vibration frequency band of the vehicle, while greatly improving damping performance.

Improved logic control and connection placement
Controls for adjustments and connections are placed in logical positions for easy operation and ease of use. The well-thought-out layout ensures intuitive operation and easy installation.

High-quality speaker connection
The speaker connection is equipped with hex screws for a robust fastening method for the wire connections and also accepts bare wire or ferrules (up to AWG 8) for superior electrical performance, high quality sound and secure connection.

Clear labels and ratings
The redesigned control panel features logical placements with easy-to-understand relationships, and updated graphics.

Signal sum for seamless connection to factory audio
The new signal sum function combines filtered audio signals from modern automotive audio systems, such as those for the separate tweeter, woofer, and subwoofer, to easily and accurately amplify the entire stereo frequency range. You can even send the consolidated line-level signal to other mono or stereo amplifiers in the chain for flexible installation in different types of vehicles and audio system setups.
