3.0” Color LCD touch screen:
This compact DashCam has a bright and clear 3.0" widescreen LED color touchscreen for even more ease of use. On the screen, you can view the menus, adjust settings, adjust the high kw view, and process quality images.
3.7 Megapixel Wide Quad HD resolution:
With their 3.7 megapixel CMOS sensor, the DRV-A700W and DRV-A501W will shoot with Wide Quad HD resolution at 30 frames/sec (30fps). 2560x1440px (WQHD) is 1.8 times more than Full HD resolution. This results in not only movies with razor-sharp quality, but also beautiful photos of 16 Megapixels.
Wireless Smartphone Link (Wireless LAN):
The 'KENWOOD DASH CAM MANAGER ' application gives you the option to view the menu settings from your smartphone and adjust current images, and view stored videos or photos from the wirelessly linked DashCam. If you save the video and/or video files on your smartphone, you can view the images with map view from Google Maps including GPS information (such as speed, the direction of travel, ....). You can edit the images and share them on your social media. KENWOOD DASH CAM MANAGER for your smartphone is available on the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).
HDR (High Dynamic Range):
This camera uses 30 frames per second to form a video recording. With the HDR technique, you will record these 30 images per second with different exposures and combine them to improve the contrast ratio. This gives you an optimally exposed image when driving in and out of a tunnel, for example, with much higher brightness and more intense contrast.
3-axis G-Sensor and GPS receiver:
Thanks to the 3-axis gyroscopic sensor (G-sensor), your dashcam can register physical movements, for example when you brake suddenly or in the event of an accident/impact. In that case, the recorded images are saved in a separate folder, so that they cannot be overwritten afterward.
While driving, certain physical forces act on your camera. These G-sensor data (force, direction,..) are processed in the video recording and saved together with the data from the built-in GPS receiver (coordinates, speed, date & time, ...). With 'KENWOOD VIDEO PLAYER' you can see on a map (Google Maps) where and when the recordings took place and which direction of travel, speed, power, ... were applicable at that time.
Smart parking mode:
Use your dashcams as parking security. While your car is parked and the 3-G sensor detects physical movement from your vehicle, the camera will start recording for 30 seconds and then return to standby mode. Here too, the recorded images are saved separately, so that they are not overwritten afterward.
The optional connection kit CA-DR1030 is necessary to have a permanent power supply.
Super Capacitor ( Backup Battery):
The built-in 'super capacitor' ensures that in the event of a power failure, the DashCam correctly closes and saves the current video recording before the camera switches off completely.
< strong>2 system mounting bracket:
A suction cup and adhesive mounting bracket are included. The suction cup gives you more freedom to easily place and remove the mounting bracket where the self-adhesive one provides a more solid attachment.
Magnetic quick coupling:
The new, super handy, magnetic attachment mechanism ensures that you can install and remove the DashCam with one hand. The wiring is connected to the mounting bracket on the windshield! So you only (dis)connect the camera without having to disconnect the wiring again.
Included polarization filter — Reduces the reflection on the windscreen —
Included with the DRV-A700W/ DRV-A601W/ DRV-A501W is a polarizing filter. A pole filter consists of two parts, a part that you screw onto the screw thread of the lens and a rotating ring. By turning the rotating ring you can adjust the angle of incidence of light. This reduces disturbing reflections on your windscreen.
Front & Rear 2 Camera Recording:
By connecting the optional rearview camera KCA-R100 to the DRV-A700W or DRV-A501W, you can simultaneously record what is happening in front of and behind the car when tailgating is going on to collisions with the front or rear of your car in smart parking mode. The KCA-R100 has a lens with a wide viewing angle of 161° that 180° can be rotated vertically. When the KCA-R100 is connected to the DRV-A700W or the DRV-A501W, it will record 2 different video files in Full HD resolution.
